One time member of Scottish Miserablists Arab Strap (it is journalistic law that they are refered to as such), Aidan Moffat has gone on to produce a huge array of works under many different guises and with many different people. But without a doubt, his greatest and most critically acclaimed work of his post AS career thus far is his work with pianist and composer Bill Wells. The 2011 album Everything's Getting Older received plaudits across the board for its delicate, insightful and occasionally disturbing story telling set against meandering and haunting piano led backdrops and rickety old jazz beats. Their live shows supporting the album have been among the most intimate, yet also the most entertaining, we have seen in a long time. Treading the boards at Wakefield's Theatre Royal will be an incredibly memorable experience and a chance to see a unique performance by the duo and their backing band.
