This year we have a whole heap of exciting commissions and pop up events. We’ve compiled Toria Garbutt and Richard Wheater’s commissions into their own venue pages but here are some additional performances or events you won’t want to miss (and check out our Clashfinder or Official Programme for an easier way to digest all this information).
.@ac will be moving around the Artwalk on Wednesday May 30th and on June 2nd, distributing their revolutionary materials but you will also be able to catch them on June 2nd at their base at the Elizabethan Gallery.
Ali Bullivent & Friends will perform four times on Saturday: 12:15 at the Elizabethan Gallery, 12:45 at Wakefield Cathedral, 13:30 at The Ridings and 14:10 at The Art House.
Alicia Wallace will perform / display her interactive light installation before, during and after Galaxians performance at Warehouse 23 on Saturday June 2nd.
CAPA college will perform their contemporary dance performance at Wakefield Cathedral on Saturday June 2nd during Thomas Ragsdale’s set.
John Welding will have an exhibition in Mr and Mrs C’s from Wednesday May 30th right through to Sunday June 3rd.
Mark Ratcliffe will have an exhibition at Wakefield Beer Exchange from Wednesday May 30th through to Sunday June 3rd.
The Merry West Collective will perform their commissioned Theatre piece on May 30th at The Art House with additional performances on Saturday June 2nd.
Nicholas & Alex Vaughan ‘s commissioned work will be on display on the outside of The Art House building for the entire duration of the festival.
Richard Wheater‘s commissioned installation will be across four sites: Wakefield Beer Exchange, Old Yorkshire Bank (Westgate), 4 Almhouse Lane and 28 Wood Street and will be viewable across the whole festival – get exploring and find them all.
Shout! Sister Shout! will be performed at 11:20 on Wakefield Precinct and The Ridings at 12:30.
WE ARE‘s project involves participants photographing the festival, but you will be able to catch up with them and learn more on the Artwalk on May 30th.
