Alicia Wallace

As part of our “Manifesto For A New Wakefield” project, we are proud to be commissioning Alicia Wallace to creative a truly interactive performance; by using L.E.D. lights to trace the energy and movement of the crowd, this generates a live feed of illuminated gestures, becoming the stimulus for the visuals projected on stage. This symbiotic relationship between performers and audience becomes a transient installation, collaboratively produced and experienced intimately by those present, focusing awareness on a fleeting collection of rhythmic moments.

Alicia Wallace is a Wakefield born lens based artist, specialising in long exposure photography, projected installations, and family workshops. Her work explores the ethereal qualities of light, and reflects on moving image as an illusion created by the brain.
